AN EVENING DEDICATED TO EXPANDING ACCESS, AWARENESS, AND SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN’S MENTAL HEALTH MINNEAPOLIS —

“At Mental Wellness Innovations, our goal is to elevate children’s mental health literacy as we educate, equip, and empower children anywhere, at any time, in any crisis situation,” Dr. Tim Culbert, behavioral and developmental pediatrician and founder of Mental Wellness Innovations. MWI Feel Better Packs are designed to support and strengthen each child’s mental health literacy by teaching essential mind-body skills such as breathing exercises, muscle relaxation, meditation, and positive self-talk. These skills help regulate the autonomic nervous system, which is key for trauma recovery. This year, MWI has developed and delivered training for kids in trauma and has partnered with several new organizations, including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Crescent Cove, Toby Keith’s OK Kids Korral, Children’s Hospital St Paul, and Annunciation School Minneapolis.

Mental Wellness Innovations will host its 2nd Annual Fundraising Gala on Friday, October 24, at Westminster Hall in Minneapolis. This signature event helps fuel MWI’s mission to bring Feel Better Packs to more children, increase mental health literacy, and expand the stress management schoolbased curriculum across Minnesota. The event begins at 4 PM with a lively social hour featuring curated one-of-a-kind auction items (St Thomas vacation, private cooking class, and more), games of chance, and a hands-on opportunity to assemble a Feel Better Pack. Guests will enjoy delicious cuisine by Chowgirls Catering, followed by an inspiring program. The evening will be emceed by mental health therapist Bryan Piatt, and capped with an exciting live auction led by Dan Masloski, renowned for his energy and professionalism.
